I was wondering if anyone has any idea whether it would be possible to use my Vodafone Mobile Connect Card with my OSx86 Laptop? Osx detects the card but doesn't load any driver. I've tried using the vodafone program, it runs but says it cant detect a card.

i have a globetrotter icon (usb model). this installer recognised it correctly, but couldn't connect - gives "modem unexpectedly quit" error on my amd 10.4.8 with 8.8.1 kernel (tried both jas and tubgirl, but no go)
I have an Option Globetrotter 3G (Colt) card. It would be helpful if someone knows direct link to Option drivers and not the Vodafone ones, since I can't access them on the Option site as my card is Vodafone branded.
Immediately after I connected now I started downloading a large file (100 MB) from the internet. The file downloads fine, and connection is stable. Right now it's longer than ten minutes, and I bet it will break after download stops. So the problem is that connection doesn't stay alive if there is no traffic. Could this be driver related or something else?
From a fresh Windows 7 installation, download these drivers from Sony Support:( -p19wn)7UPG_Alps Bluetooth driver, 7UPG_Ethernet Driver (Marvell), 7UPG_Graphics Driver (Intel) - NA, 7UPG_Wireless LAN Driver (Atheros), 7UPG_Wireless LAN Driver (Intel), 7UPG_Audio Driver (Realtek).
I didn't have any luck with the links above.Instead I downloaded the SmartWi Connection Utility (Sprint) software from the US support site on my UK Vaio VGN-TZ21WN. I downloaded here and just chose the model VGN-TZ398U/XC.Once that was installed I could turn on the WWAN and use the GlobeTrotter software to connect using a vodafone SIM
